Fork
Fork
The Fork action allows you to create a complete, independent copy of an existing project. This is perfect for “branching” your ideas—experimenting with a new arrangement or mix without losing the original version.
How to Fork a Project
- Open the project action menu (three dots).
- Select Fork.
- A new project will be created in your My Projects list, typically named “Copy of [Original Title]”.
Use Cases for Forking
- A/B Testing: Create two versions of a mix to compare different processing chains.
- Templates: If you have a project with a perfect setup (routing, instruments, etc.), fork it to start a new track with those settings.
- Safe Experimentation: Try radical changes that you might want to revert later without relying solely on undo history.
Note
Forking a project duplicates all audio files and MIDI data associated with it, which will count towards your cloud storage limit.
