Folders & Organization

A clean library is a productive library. Kemaan Studio provides several ways to categorize your audio assets using a familiar folder-based hierarchy.

Default Folders

To help you get started, Kemaan Studio automatically creates four essential folders based on common workflows:

/purchase: Stays synced with your library acquisitions. Any sound pack or track you buy is automatically accessible here.
/export: The destination for every track you render or mixdown in the Kemaan Studio Studio.
/upload: Your primary inbox for files imported from your local machine.
/recording: Stores audio captured directly via the Studio’s input tools (e.g., vocal takes, instrument recordings).

Custom Folder Management

You can create your own organizational structure to match your specific production style:

Creating Folders

Click the + Create button in the My Files toolbar.
Enter a descriptive Folder Name.
Your new folder will appear in the current directory, ready for files to be moved into it.

Bulk Organization

Select multiple files or folders using the checkboxes on the left. Once selected, you can use the Move to Folder action to relocate them to a new destination in your library.

Note

Folders can be nested! Create a “Projects” folder and then sub-folders for each individual song to keep your stems and exports perfectly categorized.
